EBLC participants have included, among others, Dr Josef Ackermann, Deutsche Bank; Dr Corrado Antonini, Fincantieri; Dr José Manuel Barroso, the European Commission; Mr Anatoly Chubais, RAO UES; Mr Mikhal Fridman, Alfa Bank; Mr Thomas Glocer, Reuters; Mr Alexey A. Mordashov, Severstal; Dame Marjorie Scardino, Pearson Group; Dr Peter D. Sutherland, BP; Mr Michael Treschow, Ericsson; and Mr Jacob Wallenberg, Investor.

Spouses are welcome to participate in most EBLC activities. Nearly all EBLC events include a spouses’ programme and a cultural event. Summit meetings in Finland are followed by a visit to the Savonlinna Opera Festival in the Finnish lake district.

Editorial writers and columnists from leading European and international news agencies are also invited to EBLC meetings. However, proceedings are off the record unless otherwise indicated.

Participation in the EBLC is by invitation only.
